Quality Fibers

When looking for a new area rug the rug’s material is the most important factor to consider. The material determines the look, feel and lifespan of your rug. Here at Russell Edition we use the highest quality natural fibers to create the perfect rug for your home or office. One of the fibers most commonly used for our rugs is wool. Wool is prized for its durability softness and fiber cleanability.

Bamboo silk: Bamboo silk is a type of natural viscose.
Cellulose is extracted from the plant and formed into a sticky paste. After extraction, the cellulose is then left to dry. Once dried it is expelled to become a soft silky fiber. After which it is used to craft our luxurious rugs.

Thick, soft and luxurious, the Russell Edition collection brings you an irresistible combination of pleasure and practicality in a modern area rug. Hand-woven in bamboo-extruded silk fiber, these area rugs are richly colorful, stylish and designed for effortless chic.

Cashmere: Cashmere wool or simply known as cashmere is obtained from particular types of goats. Cashmere wool is extremely high in quality and it’s finer and softer than sheep’s wool.

Russell Edition’s cashmere made rugs are ideal bedroom rugs thanks to their supremely soft plush pile which is simply bliss beneath your feet.

Mohair: Mohair is a long, smooth and unprecedentedly fluffy fiber. It is made from the hair of the Angora goat. Immensely durable and resilient mohair is notable for its high luster and sheen which is why it is also known as “The diamond fiber”.

Our Mohair Rugs is one of our most luxurious collections. These rugs are wonderfully warm, lightweight, extremely durable and available in a rainbow of colors. Unlike any other fiber Mohair has unique properties such as lustre, elasticity, the ability to breathe, a natural resistance to soiling, incredible strength and is non-flammable. Its light-reflecting properties also give these rugs a stunning silky shimmer and glow.
